A Snowy Weekend.

Following Philadelphia RAM & Mark Installations on the 14th January, the PGM has been busy honouring
commitments in Other Orders and supporting those who Support Him.

The PGM's ever supporting Lady, Lynne, is Brown Owl of the Local Brownie Pack, and Peter is always there
for her when circumstances demand. This weekend the 19th January is the Pack's Holiday Weekend and true
to form Peter is there and up to his 'proverbials' in it and I thought it would be nice for you to see the other
side of our PGM.

After shopping trips for posters, tartan material (the
theme was  BRAVE, the recent Pixar Scottish film),
craft materials, food, first aid supplies ------ etc.,
etc, etc the car was packed and they arrived at
Shirdley Hill Brownie centre.

This was on Friday afternoon and the next 3 hours
were spent preparing and decorating the centre,
prior to the arrival of the girls.

another helper; just after the PGM had pulled the 18th
Brownie onto the sledge run.

Five Scottish flags from the PGM's collection came had
come in useful!
Returning mid day Saturday, Three groups of girls
had outdoor sledging and winter play experience,
led by ------ you've guessed it ---- RW  Wise Owl!

Protocol does not allow us to show you photos of the
participants, but apart from fun with the
grandchildren, it couldn't get better than this !!!

It was fascinating to note from Shirdley Hill's records
that at the opening of this centre in 1978 by Lady
Baden Powell, she was attended by Sir Kenneth
Maxwell Stoddart, H.M's. Lord Lieutenant of the
County of Lancashire.  Sir Kenneth was also Prov GM
of the Mark at that time.

The PGM looks forward to seeing you with your
children or grand children at our Barn Dance on
Sat 23rd of February, it should be fun.
